“Work is what you do for others, Liebchen. Art is what you do for yourself.”
— Stephan Sondheim
Elizabeth has been singing, acting, and goofing off for as long as she can remember. She was raised in Virginia with one little sister (who she loves…most of the time) and two crazy supportive parents (emphasis on crazy) who have always supported her throughout her theater journey. Growing up as the class clown, she quickly discovered her love for comedy and acting at a young age. Wherever she was, she was always obsessing over different musicals and plays and writing countless jokes. After her mom took her to see “Wicked” on Broadway and sneaking out of her room to watch SNL every Saturday, she was determined to end up on stage one day.
Elizabeth currently attends NYU, where she is studying to get her BFA in Musical Theater from the New Studio on Broadway. She previously graduated as a theater major from Walnut Hill School for the Arts, where she performed in shows such as Mean Girls (Janis), Our Town (Stage Manager), Rumors (Claire Ganz) and Showtune: Celebrating the Music & Lyrics of Jerry Herman (Soloist). During the summer she likes to continue her work on the stage- most recently performing in 9 to 5 (Judy), with previous credits such as RENT (Maureen), Shrek the Musical (Fiona), and Les Misérables (Éponine).
While Elizabeth loves being onstage, she also thrives behind the scenes. She has worked as a costume designer on various shows such as Infinite Art’s production of RENT, MoonRiver’s production of Beauty and the Beast, and ICE Collaborative Art’s production of James and the Giant Peach; just to name a few. She has also worked as a makeup/wig/hair stylist, often styling/creating wigs and makeup designs from scratch for productions such as Legally Blonde, Les Miserables, Shrek the Musical, and Frozen Jr. In addition to her theatrical designs, Elizabeth has worked as a freelance makeup artist since 2019.
Elizabeth’s lifelong love of theater made her realize she wanted to go into the profession from a very young age (she sincerely apologizes to all of her friends and teachers who had to sit through her endless talks about how she “is going to be a serious actress” when she’s grown up) and she can not wait to continue her journey, wherever it takes her.
